G80c/s Big end

Post by matchyman »

Hi I have just aquired a 1961 G80c/s in boxes so I am looking at the parts for the engine and I look at the con rod and it has a sealed bearing for the bigend!when I stopped laughing it really has a sealed bearing pressed into the rod, there is no bigend pin so I don't know how it was held in the rod.the rest of the parts to make up the flywheels are in rough shape it almost looks as if the entire bottom end ran without oil.I have a spare set of flywheels so all is not lost but I thought I would share this with you guys.thanks derek
