That one is about 30 years too young, not for your bike.
I do not have one that can be photographed off the bike, sorry Devis

Devis, I have placed some reference pictures on Picasa that I took of a couple of WD G3L’s at the 2006 Alternative rally, there may be enough information in them to help. I can not vouch for how original they are but Ken will have a view.

I have a loose two piece 1947 AJS 16m rear guard, that I could photograph later in the week, but looking in the conversion parts list the WD guard (KF-W41-G3L-M4) does not have a corresponding new part number so the post war one must differ in some way.

The WD G3L mudguard does not have a centre rib, that is the main difference,
Both Matchless and AJS split at the front, near to the sub frame cross piece.
But the later rigid frame mudguards split at the rear end.
There are also differences in the portion of the rear guard dependant on which number plate style is accomodated.
The V shaped rear stays on WD bikes are of smaller diameter tube than the civvy version; I am not sure if they reverted to the bigger type after 1946
And another thought, later on the AJS guard had a more rounded profile, don`t know when this came in though.

Devis, I have placed the pictures of the two piece 1947 AJS 16m rear guard on Picasa, unfortunately as it is painted black the detail is difficult to see but it should give you an idea of how they looked after the war.

This guard has no central rib and splits near the sub frame cross piece as Ken describes.

Hope this helps

In my experience of steering dampers (limited) you only nip them down when you bashing the knots, Have the damper on while in town, and it will handle like a rusty pram etc.
