I bought a replica lighting switch from Vehicle Wiring Products for the re-wire of my G3LS (1954). Comparing it with the broken original, I notice that it has only 6 contact pillars instead of the 7 on the original. Can I use this switch, or do I need to return it. Thanks
Alan

If 6 is enough to take the number of wires meeting there, just use it.

Hi Tommot. The lighting switch uses 6 & 7 pillars to connect the headlight dip-switch wires and the headlight. I have got over the problem by by-passing the pillars and connecting the wires using bullet/snap connectors.

good thinking, saves you a lot of hassle returning the switch!
