Valve oiling?

Post by minajs »

Hello,
Can anybody tell me if the oil supply to the valves on my 1955 AJS Model 20 is ajustable? Anything that I ought to mess with? Plugs are sooty but no smoke from exhaust. How much oil are the valves supposed to receive? Rattly things... Thanks

I don't think sooty plugs are related to valve oil supply.

I don't think this is right. The plugs on both my classics are a lovely sandy colour, just right.

If they are sooty the mixture is too rich somewhere. Follow the carb tuning tips.
