Footrest rubbers

I see quite a few bikes with footrest rubbers, I cannot seem to find any that fit adequately without them sort of hanging off the end of the pegs, what are others using, although in the long term I will make some metal off road pegs. Cheers.

I wanted to fit some standard rider rubbers to some folding footpegs but the rubbers were about half inch too long... I threaded a hole in the end of the pegs and screwed in a short piece of bar.

Are not pillion rubbers shorter/smaller or am I imagining that?
