Pinlock

Post by 56G80S »

There were a couple of threads on this topic, one of which I contributed to, but they're "locked".

My new (ish now but little used) helmet came with Pinlock. Riding back from Bishop Auckland two weeks ago in the dark and chilly I got the old misting up and wondered if I should've fitted the pinlock thingy to the visor. It looked like a bit of a palaver but if it works and doesn't stuff the visor for warmer (!) weather riding I'd give it a go.

Works perfectly for me. Had Pinlock visors for about the last 10 years on my helmets.

Works well for me as well, no misting up and don't notice it in the summer.

!00% better than all the spells and potions that are sold to stop misting, as a glasses wearer I wouldn't be without one now.

Cheers, chaps.

I'll get the inside of the visor clean and fit.

It's definitely worth it. once you do, make sure you have a good seal round the insert. The locating pins at either end rotate to adjust the fit.
