1957 G80CS Parts list

Post by Fuzziguzzi »

Hi.
I've just rejoined after many years absence! Just starting restoration of a 57 G80CS. I've got various parts lists and manuals, plus a couple of Roy Bacon's books as well as one or two Neil publications. None of these seem to contain anything much with regard to the 57 competition model specific details. Info on the frame being particularly lacking. Is there anything available or did the factory not bother?

In Christian's archive, link given above by Peter, in the owners manuals section there are supplementary instruction booklets for the 56 and 57 competition models

Yes, I do have the parts list mentioned in the Peter's link. However there's no parts diag. relating to the 1957 model.

Hi Fuzziguzzi, I guess you have to embrace yourself for a bit of technical archeology,

I believe 1957 was the year AMC introduced CS frames with extended lower rails conecting the subframe downtubes in bending-stiff bolted joints.
Depicted centre stand would not be correct for a CS model.
