Rear wheel spindle

Is the rear wheel spindle on the G80CS supposed to be the same as a P11, PN 03.3124, the thread is damaged on my CS and the spindle appears to be 11" however the P11 on is apparently 10" so not the same, I am not sure that the PO has fitted the correct spindle or spacers, does someone have a picture of the correct sequence of parts on the nearside, brake lever side of the rear wheel. This is what I have:

Pt No. 028068 for the 500CS with the later slimmer swing arm. It isn't the same as the P11. Your best bet is to buy a stainless one for the Tourers which is longer and thread it 5/8 20tpi Cei further on down and trim to length. No -one stock the shorter spindles for the later CS and 63 only CSR. The main spacers are correct with the exception of the brake light plate and additional small spacer next to it.

Your question appears answered, but, I am curious about this as well...
This is the set up on my comp model, I don't if it's correct, just the way it is.
I always thought my frame was 1964 and looking at your photo I have the same double lug on the swing arm for the bottom of the shock. Is this type of swing arm correct for 1964?

Spacer arrangement looks correct to me. Designed 1961, the S/A with forked lugs was introduced for 1963 or possibly mid-season 1962 and remained the same until end of production.

The P11 swinging arm / chainstay is wider due to the fact that it originated for the G85CS, which used a variant of the 7R rear hub. The latter is a bit wider than the non-QD roadster hub used for the G80CS and P11.

Thanks for the info, I have since discovered that the rear wheel has been built central to the hub but is then about 5/16" too far to the right, spacers appear correct but it all looks wrong, having it dished over later, does not seem logical but I cannot find any build details on this.
The spindle is indeed the longer one and I was concerned that the thread looks a bit dodgy, however, it is where the undercut was and the threads rolled over the top of that then cut down to suit.

Do not trust the rear fender/mudguard loop to be accurate, especially if it's an aftermarket item. Use of a laser beam is suggested.
Cheap laser senders used by interior fitters and estate agents come in handy.

A full width hub should be central with no offset.

I agree, the wheel is central to the hub, however the wheel is away from the shocks by 5/16" as well, I have checked the alignment and everything is straight, the swing arm is not bent as the shocks are vertical, measuring from the top of each frame end the distance also suggests the wheel is offset. the other slightly worrisome thing is that the brake plate collides with the nut on the lower shock mount suggesting that the spacer is wrong on the nearside (this would make the offset even worse if the spacer was longer). Bit of a puzzle, seems two wrongs make a 'temporary' right. I am going to strip this right down and give it a rebuild now, I think the PO did a few shortcuts.

Stripped it all down and found that the PO had made a right pigs ear of it, now correct with the right spacers and oil seals in the correct order. Wheel central to the frame now. Phew.
