Arrived in Austria today and the predicted rain came down in spades (are we allowed to say that!). Got as far as the first fuel stop before wets were donned and boy were they needed. Lovely ride, just one hiccup, apart from the rain, when Steve C's bike died but not to long before normal service was resumed. Lovely hotel, location and owners. Due to meet up with Swifty tomorrow morning when a yay or nay decision will be needed for the Grosglockner pass - weather's not looking that brilliant

Enjoy the rally everyone-we had a medical problem halfway across France and decided to return home! Doomed never to get to Slovenia!

Just a reminder ( and not to teach anyone how to suck eggs ) but remember when climbing anywhere too high that the old bikes can start to run a
bit rich which I discovered when we went to Switzerland. Good luck and stay safe.

Yes all crossed the Grossglockner without problems, other than some rain and cloud, so little to see, I personally was nice and dry in the van.
Arrived in the Blue Mountain Hotel in Verditz, a motorcyclist hotel, 8 of ours and 3 German.
Morning to Adovscina to the Rally 120 miles.
Where are you in Austria Clive?

Picked up Swifty today at Zell am Zilla for the run across to the Grosglockner. Great until we got into the clouds where visibility was somewhat restricted and glad to get below the cloud base again. Got a sticker though . Interesting run for the last part up to the Blue Mountain hotel. Weather looking better for tomorrow for the run into Slovenia....

Breathtaking ride today across the Wurzen Pass from Austria into Slovenia. Arrived Ajdovscina around 3pm, time for a quick shower and then up to the rally site. Popped into a local bar on the way back, as one does, to top up fluid levels, as one does! Nice meal this evening at the hotel. Chill day tomorrow....

Great to see some more smiles in the most recent photo. Even better to get the news and get a feeling for the rally, even if only by proxy.
Some positive news from my oncologist today, the radiologist's report on the latest CT scan showed nothing untoward so off the chemo and going onto 3 monthly CT scans. Hopefully I'll get to the Jampot.

Settled into the rally routine today. Late breakfast and a wander up to the rally site to check things out followed by a little bike fettling.
Some joined today's run out, a short one to get us bedded in, took us through the picturesque villages of the Vipava hills to the Lanthieri mansion and onwards to the town of Vipava.
