copper head gasket

Hi,
I fitted a copper head gasket last time the cylinder head was off. I got it heated to cherry red and quenched in water as advised to soften the metal and it has worked fine without leaks.
I wondered if anyone might know if I can reuse the gasket, and if so do I need to get it annealed again ? It looks fine and I would replace the viton o rings.
I also wondered if using wellseal might be a good idea or not on the head and or paper base gasket or would it just make it very difficult to get apart if necessary in the future.
Thanks,
John

If it was a solid copper gasket it will need reannealing again before it is reused. I would not use welseal on the head gasket. With the paper gasket I personally have not used welseal and think it unnecessary unless you have a compromised joint in some way.
