Hello, please what is the thread on main shaft gearbox , I need to buy a die to repair a thread as it got damaged when I was tried to remove the inner cover.

A spare GB mainshaft I have here is 9/16th" x 20 threads per inch. This is a recognised size in BSC (British Standard Cycle) but I can't swear to the thread angle being 60° because it's old and a bit worn. There are some funny threads in gearboxes sometimes.
If ordering a die, be sure to stress the 20 tpi bit, as there is also a 26tpi at 9/16ths BSC.
