I would ask Andy at Kettering to supply the refurb kit and try and be cheeky and ask if it can a sweetener considering you are having to visit the south to collect the bike.
But as already stated Amal carbs are still made new in Andover, Wiltshire. The even have the refurb bits on the site.

The carb gasket kit will be included F.O.C when you collect your bike this Monday.

If the carb is worn a new kit will not help, if the slide is too loose in the bore allowing air to leak past it is unlikely to be a worn slide, more likely it will require resleeving. If this is the problem the bike will run roughly with lots of spitting and backfiring and probably needs the choke on to run at all.
