1948 16m - was there a head steady for the rigid (350) singles? Struggling with the usual parts books etc. to confirm this. My knowledge is not so good on the earlier type heads/rocker boxes.
Thanks

Thanks g80csp11, that's what I figured too. Just seems odd only having one for the 500.

Re: Steady-on!
I know the stay for the coil spring heads was different to the hairspring head which came in 1949. The earlier coil spring head stay was only attached to the rocker box with one extended bolt and must have been a long bracket but it is not illustrated in the parts lists. From 1949 the more familiar two extended bolts attached to a triangular bracket. What surprised me, looking through the parts lists, was it remained specified for the 500 only until the 1953 season. Must get on with something practical now!

Re: Steady-on!
You can add a 500 head steady to a 350 all you need is the rocker box bolt with the threaded top section, the head steady arm (looks a bit like a bent hockey stick) , clip for the frame and nuts and bolts. I recently brought all the required bits from AMC Classic Spares.
