1963 Front Mudguard Single Stay
Evening all.
Wondering if anyone has a similar bike with the single front mudguard stay? I'm looking for the OD diameter of the pipe/tube material and the dimension between retaining screw centers, as per picture. Not my picture, just one I found on the net, thanks to whomever owns it.
Thanks in advance for any help

That stay loops around the mudguard.
I have one on mine but not going into the shed for a few days, it's cold.

Thanks for the reply and picture, I should have said that I'm not under pressure to get the information straight away. Thanks, I figured it wrapped around the mudguard. I just want to keep my eyes open for the needs material.

Others will be along soon and may have info at hand. Some are really soft (Spriddler) and bring thier bikes into the house when it's cold.
Its -5°C ish here at the moment but if it get warmer and nobody replies with with suitable info I will drag her out and get some rough measurements.

These are on a 57, so may not be quite right.

Hmm, but not often as I have to remove the kitchen door first.jackstringer wrote: ↑Mon Jan 16, 2023 8:24 pm Some are really soft (Spriddler) and bring thier bikes into the house when it's cold.
One of my chums has patio doors which makes kitchen access easier.......(note carpet, just for the bike fettling area )......
and to the dining room.......
and the hallway......
because the double garage is full of old bikes.....and 'stuff'...........

There's no way I would get that past the Long Haired Sergeant Major, but I did smuggle a BSA engine in for a while as an ornament until I got around to reinstalling..

My 1963 G3 front stay measurement is 0.510” (powder coated) o/d for the tube and 11 1/8” between the centres you marked.
