Hi,
Has anybody out there managed to fit a side stand to a G5 ?

Is your question about where to get one or how to fit one that you have?
Are you aware of the club one?

I believe it is or was possible to modify a Royal Enfield stand to fit the L/W frames.

Article in July "RealClassic" Simon H. made and fitted a side stand for his AJS model 8. See real-classic.co.uk

Yeah, me. I saw a post on here about fitting a Royal Enfield side stand purchased off of ebay.

They fit with very minimal cutting grinding, and drilling. I sleeved the larger hole with a piece of steel tube I had lying around.
They are available on ebay from only 24 quid.

Thanks all for your responses. Don't want to blow £300 (WHAT !) on the club one, but now have a few ideas.

You can relax, they'll never be available again. They were a specialist bit of factory replica kit and not just a simple bolt on.
