The dating service should give you plenty of info.

Some info can be ascertained from the numbers. Things such at model (M16 or G3L) can be found. 2 of the digits will suggest year.

As Jack said the engine number will tell you what it is.
This is a 1954 G3LS

You don't say the year or type of gearbox and info is scarce on AMC 'boxes but if it's a Burman there's a list of numbers and years here:

Hi,

Apologies if this information is already here, I tried looking without success.

I found these Crankcases and some other parts when clearing out my dad's garage, I think I was told they were from an AJS or Matchless, can anyone assist, is it possible to identify what make & model they are from by the numbers please?

Thanks,

Mark

Your photos do not show up. I think as a guest you have to host the pictures elsewhere.

Hi,

As a Guest (non-subscriber) you'll have to post the images as Clive said via an external host. e.g. Postimage (which is free)

Here:

https://postimages.org/

As a Guest you won't be able to see the images showing and explaining engine crankcase numbers already posted in this thread (or any other).
Provide the engine numbers from the c/cases and we will be able to tell you the make, year and model.
