More Question About Rear Suspension / Swingarm

I have sourced at a later model rear frame and swing arm. However the rear frame does not fit the existing frame.

My bike is a 1955 AJS Model 18.

Can anyone sort this out by looking at the attached pictures and tell me what I have and what I need to put this right.

The newly acquired swing with the outside threaded adjusters seems like it will fit fine once the machine shop reams (or whatever they do to) the bushings.

Thanks! That really helps. I think I found a pair for sale.

Now to find the correct fender.

Has anyone used the repop fenders from India?

There a several discussion threads with mixed experiences of Indian 'guards if you use the 'Search' facility. Just enter 'India' - no need to enter anything in the other boxes.
Here's just one of the threads that came up:

You may already be aware of this but that's a genuine 1955 CS rear frame and the bridge will only allow you to fit an alloy rear fender/guard. It would be a shame to cut the bridge off if you're planning on fitting road guards...

You beat me to it! It'd be more than a shame, it'd be a crime!

I was unaware of that. I have no plans to cut anything.
I know very little about AJS models so this information is very helpful.

I bought this bike very cheap, with a title. The local registration expired in 2019. I know there were issues with the rear end. The rear axle adjusters did not match the swing arm. The rear fender was a one piece fender from who knows what.

These are pictures of the rear frame and swing arm that came with the bike.

Were they chrome plated from the factory?

I just checked pictures of the CS. That is definitely the way I want to go. I needed to get a new exhaust anyway.
