G 3 electrics

anyone converted a G3 to electronic ignition ? mines a 62
Yes, I converted my ’62 G3 a couple of year ago as the wear on the cam/ spindle was making it difficult to get a consistent gap on the points. I couldn’t find a standard, off-the-shelf kit which was suitable so rang Boyer Bransden who knew precisely what combination was required and it was delivered a couple of days later. I reused the original long bolt from the old back plate to fix the new rotor plate so just had to use a short length of tube as a spacer to compensate for the length of the spindle on the old back plate.
