Gasket on 250 csr

I'm about to take off the right hand side outer engine casing for polishing, I cant see a gasket listed, is this just a metal to metal joint ?

R/hand side being the points/timing cover side then there is no gasket as the cover is just that! 4 screws and the entire casing comes away leaving the gearbox etc intact. It's basic function is to cover the oil tank etc and make it look like the alternator drive side.
