VYD 683 - AJS Model 16

From an email received today:
I was wondering if you could help me i have been trying to locate my Grandads old bike now for a while and haven't seem to have much luck was wondering if you could help me with this at all. The bike details:
Ajs 16ms I believe it's the ms model
Registration number is (VYD 683)
The DVLA shows the registration number is still against an AJS 350cc and is taxed until next September so the bike is still in active use.
Let me know if you have any information and I can pass it on.
