1955 matchless 500 single early jampots

Hi all I hope some of you can help,I have stripped down my 2 jampots ,the thread on the bottom swivel or Clevis is a bit manky so could anyone tell me what thread this is and has anyone got a way to clean up the thread

If the threads are there but a little rough I have used fine grinding paste to lap the threads in. Sometimes when the clevis is undone being ali to ali it just tears out and then it bin time!.
