Hi all,
Just rebuilt a 64 CSR14 motor, Albeit not all CSR14 any more, again
We have an oil leak 3 fins up from base of barrel, around the pushrod tunnel area. Also, there Feels like a crack inside the tunnel, so I'm assuming that's the problem and the barrel is no good.

Slowly losing the will to live

That was a common problem on some L/W barrels the oil way is perilously close to breaking through and is porous. The cure is to have an engineering company bore out the oil hole and sleeve it.

Thanks for that, probably be cheaper than new barrel and piston etc
