With scam phone calls, I sometimes string them along and end up asking them if their mothers know what they do for a living and are they not ashamed of themselves.
My son expressed great interest to a conservatory salesman on the phone and after a long chat he agreed to a surveyor visiting to quote and gave him his address: "Flat 19, Third floor..............."
I once made a Jehovah's Witness visitor find an excuse to leave.
