Has anyone used a second hand oil pump plunger? I've seen one on ebay from France. Feedback is good for the seller and I can't see anything wrong with it from the pics. I can't find a new one anywhere and could be waiting ages for someone to make them.
Any advice?
Neil.

Hi
It's worth a try if the price and condition are right - you need to ensure you get the correct part though, there are single and two start worm configurations which are not interchangeable.

Hi
Looks good and the part number is correct for a 59 G3 / 80 - should get you on the road.
Regards Mick

I sold a 1947 oil plunger for 99p on fleabay. Only had 500 miles from new (old stock) so bargains can be found.

I have found a used one but in good condition off a French guy who has a few. If anyone needs one I'll post the name.

Re: Used oil pump plunger?
Well after much waiting I had a friend come round to help re-build the engine from the '59 G3. All parts now sourced. It went well until we tried to put the oil pump in. The guide pin didn't fit into the helical groove and on closer inspection and some measuring it seems the pump is in fact a one start so does not fit.
I have emailed the guy I bought it off but he has now sold all 10 of his pumps.
Does anyone have one knocking about in their shed/garage?
I'm desperate to get this running before the weather breaks.
