I've had cams reprofiled for a twin.The lobes were built up with stellite and ground to the correct profile. I was lucky in that the engineer I used has most of the AMC profiles in stock,as i was changing profile.The same treatment can be given to worn followers .My journals were pitted and worn but i had to have them turned down and under sized cam bushes made.If you require any contact details ,contact me on

You do not say which country or part you are in perhaps preventing more precise help. Most Yellow pages have a list of motor engineers some of which will specialise in what you need. Let your fingers do the walking!
