lightweight cylinder head identification

Post by Michael Barnes. »

I have just bought a cylinder head off eBay for a 250 lightweight. On delivery I noticed it doesn't have a decompression lever fitted, can anyone tell me what model this is off?

Hi Mike,
I have just looked at the exploded view of the 250 Lightweight engine an can find no sign of an exhaust valve lift, also it is not mentioned in the Lightweight engine service on removing the rocker box. Therefore one has to presume there isn't an exhaust valve lift fitted.

You're correct Malcolm, the G2 has no valve lift but the G5 has. Beware there are also other differences in the heads even though they may look very simular.
