Beware the replacement fork tubes available; there are some around that have not been ground along the whole length in one go i.e. a smaller width grinding wheel has been moved along the length - you can feel the ridges which are akin to those from a lthe with some play in a bearing. Ones ground to size properly feel smooth on the surface in all directions.
