I can echo Sprid's point. Comparing the tank bag top sat nav with the speedo my indicated 65 is about 60 and maybe a bit. I did return from the anniversary event at the Royal Arsenal, Woolwich to the very north of North Yorkshire at an indicated 70-75 but that was only because I left too late, had removed the dynamo and sent away for repair and was worried about getting stranded in the dark. I made it in twilight with the pilot light (this was pre-LEDs).
Strangely, you've reminded me to bore out the carb spacer as it is a bit smaller than my new(ish) carb from AMOC spares and the head, cheers.
