Gearbox plates

Post by Marty »

Would someone be able to tell me if the '50-55 CS gearbox plates have a drilled extension welded on behind the footrest rod hole that picks up the centre stand rod ? The '51 and '55 parts books I have mention a secondary rod spacers, washers and nuts but not the rod itself. I have a set of plates with these extensions and had assumed them to be a Kiwi modification
Thanks

I can tell you that 1957 CS gearbox plates do have the extensions you describe. I cannot say whether they were used in other years.

56 did too. The forward holes were for touring and the rear for competition.
