Hi everyone,
I've got it going!.. Its coughing and spluttering, the revs are all over the place, keeps cutting out.I think its idle/mixture.I dismantled and cleaned out twin CV carbs again (3 hours!).I have noticed that one of the cylinders is running better than the the other so I dont know if it is the carb or the cylinder itself.I have started it up with the good cylinder plug out and it struggles a bit to start. When running with both plugs one exhaust gets hotter quicker than the other, this is on the side where the fuel from the tank enters the carb. I have left it run and tick over but it is so sensitve when trying to balance the choke/ idle speed. When I turn the throttle it either cuts out or revs inconsistently. Its took me 4 weeks to solve so you can imagine the little smile on me face when it started! thanks for the advice everyone.

Well done! its always nice to get something to work isnt it. - you might find that it settles down a bit after its been running for a while, it might rev easier after its warmed up a bit. either that or take the carbs off again and give them another clean. Ive heard of people buying cheap ultrasonic cleaners designed for jewellery and using them to clean carbs out.
Too many bikes, So little time!!

Good news.
Now it's running you can fiddle about getting it sorted.
A cylinder running hot is generally an indication of a weak mixture - air leaks at inlet manifold or zorst pipe, or a fuel blockage for that cylinder.
It could also faulty ignition for that cylinder: H.T. lead shorting out or a faulty plug (even if it's a new one). Try swapping the plugs in the cylinders.
You could also run th'engine in the dark and look at the H.T. lead, coil, etc to see if the spark is escaping against a metal object (cyl head, frame, so forth) before it gets to the plug.

Just a thought, but have you drained the tank and changed the old petrol for new?
I know nothing about these bikes (and very little about my own i may add) but do the carbs have diaphragms? if these are perished or holed it wont run right.
Still sounds like fuelling trouble to me. Are the choke mechanisms working ok? Another thing to look at. Good luck with it!
