54GLS Seat

Can anyone tell me the size (dia & length)of the fixing bolts that hold the rear of the dual seat to the frame of my 54 G3LS. A Happy Easter to all club members.

5/16"X26, not sure of the length but probably 1"

Can anyone help me, I am looking for a seat for my G3 LS 1957 350cc Matchless, I have came across this seat on ebay but not sure if this will fit my bike. Can anyone advise.the item no. is 310032252149.If not would Leightons be my best bet,thanks in advance Mike

Haven't checked the e-bay item, but certainly Leightons will be able to help.

The seat is longer than the '54 (which can be a good thing). The vendor gives several dimensions except the most important - the distance between the front and rear mountings.

Measuring the G3 I find the distance between front and rear mountings is 12.5", whereas the '56 G11 is 15", so the seat on E-Bay will not fit without making further holes at the rear, assuming the bottom edge of the seat will clear the top jampot clevis'
