Hmmm.1955,well thats mostly a one year only job.Can you make them up?

these grommets are 55/56/and 57 only,and most of them fell off.

Actually they are in the '54 spares list as well, on page 33.

Where do these grommets fit you say? I have a Leighton's of Birmingham repro seat on my 56 G80 and it appears to have no provisions for fitting these grommets? Not that it seems to need them after nearly 20.000km, but nice to know, should a problem arise in this areas.

They fit on a raised bracket about in the middle of the seat. This bracket is supposed rest against the frame member and take the weight off the front and rear mountings of the seat.

Just because parts are listed does not nessessarily mean they were always fitted. I have an unmolested 54 G80 and they are no grommets or any provision for them on or near the seat base.
