Post by harley »

I have g15 csr 1968 i am restoring but am new to the classic bikes,so i have become stuck with the specialist tools for this type of bike like the clutch hub removal tool,so any help in finding tools to purchase would be of great help. plus parts and repair manuals

help needed for tools

Richard

Welcome to the forum, nice bike.

A clutch extracting tool is available from the spares scheme, assuming that you still have a standard AMC clutch it is part number 040449, of the clutches that I have removed I have never needed the tool but some can be stiff.

There are other tools and parts available from the spares scheme check out the link on the front page, as you have an Atlas engine it may also be worth looking up www.rgmmotors.co.uk or www.norvilmotorcycle.co.uk who specialise in Norton’s.

Christian’s archives will also be an invaluable source of information for all things AMC - http://archives.jampot.dk/.

If you have not already visited your local section you may be able gain practical knowledge and advice from them, look in the back of the Jampot for the locations and contacts.

Good Luck
