Re: North East Section Club Night - Thursday the 3rd April
For our April meeting we were blessed with beautiful weather, but once the sun went down, temperatures followed suit.
That said, some of us have been out already…thermals and layering are still necessary attire.
We enjoyed an AJS & Matchless themed quiz, which was won by Sarah from our western contingent, with a score of 17 out of a possible 27; almost ‘Egghead’ territory that. Her prize was a classic bike themed drinking mug, which she is shown holding in the monthly photo in Jampot. If any other sections are thinking of having a quiz, I’ll gladly send you the question sheets…with answers.
Planning for the 2025 Jampot Rally continues and most of the major items have now been put in place. The daily rides have been checked and ‘tulip’ route sheets created.
A project that is well underway is Alistair’s 1956 AJS 16MS which he is working on to transform into a ‘trials-esque’ version. It’s all in pieces now to finish fettling and get painted.
Our next meeting is on Thursday the 1st of May, at the Robin Hood Inn from 6:30 for 7pm.
