G80cs in BSA frame, where is it now?

Post by Bitzamike »

Hi all, does anyone know of a G80cs engined BSA? It was styled as a Clubmans G50, maroon tank with matchless M badge, Norton roadholder forks, Taylor Dow top yolk, BSA alternator chain case, amc gear box. The engine was pretty individual, all alloy 86mm square modified engine, GP2 11/8" carb, BTH grass track mag, ci/ce cams. The engine modifications included:- Carrillo G50 con rod with Goldstar dia smallend, forged Goldstar +60 piston, shortened barrel, cylinder head had inlet down draughted, with coil valve springs, the timing chest was off a G3L hence mag behind the cylinder modified to take rev counter drive. I built the bike at the beginning of the 1980s and sold it early90s, Fred Warmley had it for a bit, it was cateloged by Bonhams once, and appeared in some classic bike magazine then fitted with some Italian 8ls front hub, then in the Brighton area.
I would be curious to know if it's still about, so if anyone knows anything please post here. All the best Mike
