North East Section Club Night on Thursday the 7th December

Thirteen of us gathered on the very windy, wet and cold night of Thursday December the 7th for our Christmas Meal at the Robin Hood Inn. Fifteen were booked but sadly two guests had to cancel the day before, due to ill health. We knew it really was a terrible night weather-wise, as even Ken decided to bring his car. Thankfully the pub was warm and the staff were amazing as usual.

It sounds like several members have winter projects on the go, which will emerge in the spring after much banging, bashing and clanking…possibly with the same sense of eager anticipation which awaited Caractacus Potts in 1968. It isn’t even New Year and resolutions were being made about more ride outs, events and visits; let’s hope the weather in 2024 is finer and somewhat more predictable.

Our next meeting, the first of 2024 of course, will be at 7pm on the 4th of January at the Robin Hood Inn. I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and New Year and that their stockings weren’t too oily for the living room.
