tank fixing bolts

Post by jerry »

I have a 1949 G3L. the petrol tank fixing bolts are very worn whitworth threads. Is this correct? I would have expected BSF.The tank is a later type I guess as it has doesn't have a pie crust filler. A lot of the other fasteners on the bike have been bodged so I'm just hoping these haven't been as well๐Ÿ˜Ÿ. Thanks.
