Hi all,
Forgive the rather basic question but I just want to double check. Sequence for carburettor fitting is cylinder- paper gasket- heat block- carburettor ( with O ring providing seal with heat block/ no additional gasket). G3LS 1955 376/5 carburettor . As I get older my confidence takes more frequent holidays!

Would you grease the mating surfaces for the gasket and the heat block or just dry fit?

Hi,
No reference found in my various manuals indicating anything other than dry fit. Ergo, that’s the way I fitted it with no resultant evidence of leaks.
