Crank Binding M20 but can be relative to any twin

Hi .. Crank binding when on top stroke and and free on bottom stroke. there's about 5th play on bottom and no clearance on top stroke,
Ive moved the centre web around but to no avail, I wonder if crank is slightly bent ! Any ideas .

has it just been reground ?
Are rods free when fitted to crankshaft and also centre web before you fit to crankcase halves . if yes to both of these it might be radius on thh centre web ( scrape edge of shell)

Hi. Yes been reground and rods and centre web free before fitting. Im not sure exactly what you mean but i will have a look thanks .
