Rocker spindles (014222)

Hello all,

In the course of restoring the engine of my '64 G12CSR, I need to have the rocker spindles refurbished or replaced. Does anyone offer a refurbishment service, or new spindles? Grinding, hard chroming and lapping is called for if refurbishment is chosen. This is probably a superior solution to fitting reproduction parts, given taylored plating in the wearing area.

My rockers are also worn at the tips contacting the valve stem tips. I have considered having thin hardmetal plates braced to the rockers. I would like to hear what others have undertaken to resurrect the geometry at the tip and possibly improve on the wear characteristic.
