Hiya Dave, I don't as yet know how it sounds, the chap at feked said loud as the baffling is a perforated tube with a perforated spoon over the end, The pic is feked's own picture although the colour of the Harris is the same as mine.
I think I'm going to buy one.

Fitted it today, it is loud, got a real throat to it. Nearly the loudest thing I own.

Why are you solely concerned about loudness? What about engine performance? Best replacement is a silencer offering similar flow characteristics to the original silencer. Maybe Rotax has some recommendationes as to back pressure etc. L.F. Harris is still operating and may recommend a replacement as well.
