London dealer

It may not be exclusively classic AJS/Matchless this but still relevant so I try: Does anyone know about a shop in London specialising in classic / retro british motorcycle clothing / helmets of the 50' ies ans sixties? I seem to remember having read about a small shop that opened about a year ago but I do not remember where. I will be visiting London this summer and need some period clothing for my 50' ies Model 30 as you can hear. Regards Michael.

Don't know of your shop but at Camden market there is a stall selling old bike clothing. It is for 'Trendies' though so the prices are ten times what you might pay at somewhere like Stafford show. Have you tried an internet search?

there is a chap who sells retro clothing at big jumbles such as Kempton, I thought I had his card somewhere but can`t find it;
you may have better luck on Ebay, even under vintage clothing as well as bike clothes,probably cheaper too.
you could have mine but I`m still wearing it......

period helmets are not difficult to find. Davida offers a full range of helmets right from the old pudding basin helmets up to the more modern Jet style. Check out their website or call Mor's Bikes at 75851681.
