Good day , a quick question for the team out there, does a 55 model 18CS have a head gasket? ...I cant seem to find any part number or other reference but that doesn't mean I've missed it somewhere, If there is not one , does anyone put any type of sealant just to keep it somewhat sealed? The mating surfaces are pretty good but it is 59 years old...
thanks as always
dave

Parts list appears to give the same gasket for all mods 350 & 500

There is no head gasket. The head and barrel are ground together with grinding paste. Then carefully clean off and assemble.

This confirms the confusing parts lists Dave. the 500's appear to have (1) no part number or ( 2 ) both 350 and 500 share the same part number.
