seeking advice on the oil seal arrangements between the generator sprocket and the inner chain case '54 500 single

Having just moved from New Zealand,I had a great contact & source of information there. Try, Norm & Linda Maddocks,RD5 Warkworth, who just about have everything to do with our marque.I dont seem to be able to find their phone number at present but either the auckland phone book or directory assistance will know.Norm also has a fax so good luck, Ian Stack

Generator Drive oil seal 54 500 single
John,
You do not have an oil seal there. Leakage from there in any quantity indicates an over full chaincase. The chain should only just dip into the oil when "Full".
