Not an oil post but a semi fluid grease one instead !

Post by Angelo »

1929 M5 350 side valve
What liquid grease are people using in these types of gearbox? On my 1947 16M I use Penrite semi fluid steering and gearbox grease - can I use the same on the M5

I just got some from Holden and it no longer mentions Burman Gearboxes - has it changed?

Thanks

What does the handbook say? Heavy engine oil is specified for my 1926 AJS G8.

Handbook says heavy oil or better liquid grease - it may be that Penrite have changed their labelling and omitted Burman Gearboxes from the label but I can't find any info on a change.

Any 00 grade semi fluid grease will do for the gearbox
