Footboard material

Post by Hudriwudri »

Hello to everybody.
As my original M2 footboards (rubber repros i just got) are in quite a desolate state i wanted to ask if somebody could point me towards what sort of material the base boards are below the rubbers.
I actually was planning marine plywood but im very happy for correcting directions towards the correct material (as long as it is hopefully not steel).
Thanks a lot for your suggestions

Kind regards and happy weekend

I think someone in the prewar e-group is making these. Perhaps something like the late 30's I have attached.

Good day Rob,

Thanks a whole lot for your lightning speed reply!
They look really nice, but as i bought already (the pricey)
rubber repros, I'm just going for now to do the board bases with marine plywood.
I confess i did not find yet the time to enroll in the club but promise i will do as soon as I find a spare 1/2hour.

Kind regards Christian

Ps: will post within the next couple days one or two questions regarding the camshafts. :)
