Just been doing a bit of fettling on the 1969 G15CSR , hopefully going to ride down to Sammy Millers on 26th June
Fuel tank is even smaller than the P11 and manages about 50 mpg at the minute
The G15CSR has a 11 litre fuel tank , 2.4 gall and i guess that's absolutely empty

I remember our group running out of fuel years ago on way back from Westwood Ho, navigated through Winchester avoiding all the petrol stations and Dick Leavers G80CS ran out about 5 miles the other side . despite donating a beer can of fuel from my P11 it took 2 cans to get to West Meon

Asking out of curiosity - Is this one of the so-called Ape Hanger models assembled in late 1968? I didn't know AMC made a special petrol tank for it. Are rims still 19in front and rear?

One of the last to be manufactured for the US , although the handlebar fitted are slightly lower than the originals
I based my restoration on a genuine one purchased in 1970 by one of club members , its as close as I can get without the extra high bars
rechromed fuel tank , and candy apple red paint
They must have been pulling down the factory when it was first assembled
yes 19" front and rear
