1963 Matchless G3C Center Stand
I am working on assembling a 1963 G3C from a basket case. The center stand that came with the project appears to be from a G80CS. I know from the spares book that the G3C uses the square foot peg stud for both the center stand and and pegs. And that the G3C required a different spacer and bush (022498). My question is how the G80CS stand may be different from the G3C stand? Can anyone enlighten me? Can a G80CS stand with extended legs be used? Thanks!

There was a guy in the UK who built a staple of late G3C's, maybe he still does. I suggest you look him up. Mabe he will sell you a reproduction stand, or advise you how to fabricate one.

Re: 1963 Matchless G3C Center Stand
I wasn't aware that the G3C had a centre stand and that the reason for both square rods was to move the footrests backwards if required. The CS however had the centrestand option and both rods were round as were the holes in the engine plates. I can't see how a centre stand bush can pivot on a square rod!
I made some stands suitable for the CS versions but currently out of stock.
