Hi
Should there be a small gap between the distributor clamp and the distributor mounting that bolts to the back of the timing chest? The clamp does its job of holding the distributor firmly, but on a couple of occasions has somehow managed to come off the shoulder that it clamps onto and into the gap, thereby allowing the distributor to move. It looks like either the distributor should be closer to the timing chest, or there should be a thin spacer?
I hope that makes sense...

Hi Malc, do you have a bolt securing the clamp to the triangular mount?
Pictures are of a Fiat/Marelli conversion but shows the bolt.
