My late (1966?) AMC sales brochure shows both the Matchless and AJS 650 models as having straight bars as do the 350 and 500 singles. Interestingly though the 750 AJS M33 is shown with straights and the Matchless G15 with slightly raised bars.
I have straight bars fitted to all of my Norton forked models as I find them more comfortable than either the standard AMC bars or semi raised types.

My G12 65 had the western style when I imported it I believe it was standard for USA.
My back didn like it, so I changed to the Norton style which was standard for Europe. -My back didn like that either. But it looks smart :ugeek:
Now I have changed to a standard Matchless handlebar from an earlyer year which my back certenly like better :P
We are all different. Ib

Hi

Page 189 of 'Bacon' has a good photo of a 65 G12 with Norton bars, do you have a copy, (I don't think it's appropriate to copy photos from the book to here.

I have a genuine G15CSR handlebar laying on the shelf, if someone wants dimensions and location of drillings for BA screws.
